My Experience When I ran out of the Nature Made Multi Prenatal Vitamins, I went back to Costco to purchase some more, I could only find a new and different version of Nature Made Prenatal Vitamins -- Prenatal Multi + DHA Liquid Softgel.
Was I in for a surprise when I opened up the container of Prenatal Multi + DHA Liquid Softgel! The softgel capsules are enormous! They are brown and oval shaped, measuring approximately 1 inch in length by approximately 0.4 inch in width. I thought the original prenatal vitamins I was taking were large, but these were monstrous! For the first few weeks, I had a very difficult time swallowing the capsules since I'm not much of a fan of swallowing pills. I actually dreaded taking the supplement because of difficulties swallowing the pill. However, as time passed, it because easier and easier to take the supplement. Now I can swallow a Prenatal Multi + DHA Liquid Softgel without gagging.
Despite having fish and fish oil as ingredients to the supplement, I experience no fishy burps after taking the supplement. I take one capsule after dinner each night and have not had any problems with the supplement causing discomfort or upsetting my stomach. It is best to take the supplement with a meal, as stated in the directions.
Though I'd prefer if the supplement was a bit smaller, I do like that it is formulated for easier absorption. The supplement offers more than the previous supplement that I was taking, as it contains omega-3 fatty acids. Taking the prenatal vitamin is also an easy way to take a range of vitamins in one dose. Even though it did take some getting used to, I will likely repurchase Nature Made Prenatal + DHA when the current bottle is out.
Overall Thoughts Nature Made Prenatal + DHA Liquid Softgels offer key vitamins, minerals, and omega-3 fatty acids in one large liquid softgel.
