Pros:wholesome, real ingredients

great peanut butter flavor
The Bottom Line: Peanut butter lovers, grab a box of Nature Valley Peanut Butter Granola bars and enjoy!
I am a peanut butter fan. I like a variety of peanut-butter flavored products, but the sad part is a lot of these foods contain ingredients that I'm not fond of putting into my body. Fortunately, I found a peanut butter granola bar that delivers great flavor and wholesome ingredients. That said granola bar is made by Nature Valley.

These granola bars come in packets as either 6 or 12 packets per box. There are two granola bars per packet, and the box will state the number of granola bars instead of the number of packets (which is either 12 or 24 bars).
Granola Bar Stats
Each granola bar measures about 3.5" long, 1.5" wide, and 3/8" thick. These are crunchy granola bars, but they also have a light coating of peanut butter over about 3/4 of the bar. It isn't thick, but enough to leave some residue on the inside of the wrapper and on your fingers once they've been eaten.
Whole Grain Oats, Sugar, Canola Oil, Peanut Butter (peanuts, salt), Yellow Corn Flour, Brown Sugar Syrup, Soy Flour, Salt, Soy Lecithin, Baking Soda.
Nature Valley Peanut Butter Granola Bars will easily satisfy a peanut butter craving. These bars are bursting with real peanut butter flavor. They are sweet, but not candy sweet. Just sweet enough to get the job done.
I'm very happy to have found a granola bar that has good ingredients, and none of the crap like high fructose corn syrup or artificial stuff. Even the peanut butter used is simple (and no hydrogenated oils). Since I love peanut butter, I'm glad that these granola bars are packed full of peanut buttery goodness. They are hard and crunchy, and do tend to make somewhat of a mess when eating them. The peanut butter gets on the fingers, but I like to break the bars up inside the packet before I open it to try and not be so messy. I don't have overly strong teeth, so I'm always careful when I first bite these bars, but they do soften up very fast once in the mouth. While these granola bars don't have much in the way of vitamins in minerals, there are whole grains, a little fiber, and a natural source of good protein to give me energy when I eat them. These do well at controlling hunger (I like them as a bedtime snack), and are great for trips too.

Walmart and most grocery stores carry Nature Valley brand granola bars. The box of 6 packets (12 bars) retails for about $2.60, while the bigger Value Size of 12 packets (24 bars) will run about $5.60 or so. It's a great price for a great product.
