It seems that no matter how many times my oldest dog, Clyde, gets sprayed by our annoying local skunk, he continues to try to become friends with him. Nature's Miracle Skunk Odor Remover is the newest product that we have used to rid our not-too-bright pooch of that funky, pervasive skunk odor.

For less than eight dollars for the bottle of .."non-toxic, non-flammable, non-caustic, and non-acidic" nearly fragrance free liquid, Clyde is once again allowed into our home. From past experiences with ridding him of that nasty skunk smell, my son and I know to prepare for a couple of hours work; bathing with shampoos and tomato juice, rinsing, bathing again, rinsing again until the smell is finally neutralized.

With Nature's Miracle Skunk Odor Remover, however, the job of getting the odor off of our pet was accomplished in a third of the time. It is pretty simple to do once the directions are read and followed. After removing his collar, my son held Clyde (at a comfortable distance) while I applied the product onto his fur. His head and neck area was the target of the skunk's aggression, so we used a cloth soaked with the odor neutralizing enzymes to carefully clean around his eyes, ears, nose and mouth.

Additionally, I applied some to the fur on his shoulders and the top of his back. From past experience, I knew that the skunk's spray does get onto his fur surrounding his face and head. It is also not a bad idea to wipe down the front and back of the pet's legs as well as the paws.

I like the convenience of using this product and the ease of use. The plastic thirty-two ounce bottle is easy to grasp and work with. The liquid comes out in a fairly steady stream without clogging and is no messier than working with ordinary shampoos. The best part is not having to rinse the pet off since the makers of Nature's Miracle designed it to be used full strength and allowed to air dry naturally.

~ Results ~
For applications to Clyde's face and surrounding fur on his shoulders and back, the product worked completely by neutralizing the skunk smell. However, it did take two applications on his face, especially around his neck and ears.

I also used some of this effective product on the floor and on the resin furniture on the porch where Clyde remained until he smelled clean enough to come back into the house. According to the information on the bottle, Nature's Miracle Skunk Odor Remover is very effective on clothing as well as on humans who may have been sprayed or might get the sell onto their hands while cleaning their pets.

Water, isopropyl alcohol, nature's enzymes, natural citrus scent.

I do recommend buying and using this skunk odor remover with a word of advice. Be sure to use the product at full strength and avoid getting it into the eyes because it does contain alcohol which would cause eye irritation. If it should get into the eyes, flush them with cool clear water.

I also suggest researching the internet for deals on the best price since Nature's Miracle Skunk Odor Remover seems to sell for nearly ten dollars retail for thirty two ounces.
