Pros: More comfortable sleep, no pressure points
Cons: Product did not perform as well as represented.
UPDATE: Have changed air mattresses to new type and spouse states he does not wake up with pain anymore. Now that I think about it, the soreness in my right arm and hip could have been from sleeping on the old mattresses. I am happy with the new air chambers so far. They appear to be much more durable than the old type. The memory foam does not seem to be necessary for comfort. And no more lumpy bed!! American National Mfg. also adjusted air compressor and now bed inflates quickly. Perhaps we can keep this bed for a few more years after all.
Have owned the California king size of this system for 6 years. Purchased for spouse with back problem. The first 3 years of owning product it had problems with the air pump twice and it was replaced with no problem. Then the air chamber got a leak on the seam and was replaced under warranty.
I like sleeping on this bed. My spouse does not. Since the bed has gotten older one of the air chambers have stretched out of shape. Which left an unsightly lump down the entire center of the bed. I have to replace both chambers at a prorated cost. And will receive 3 years warranty. My old chambers were 6 inches deep but can only get new chambers that are 4 inches deep and add 2 inch foam below the chamber to raise. The chambers will be of a different type that has fabric body and will not be likely to stretch again. Also the memory foam has worn out. We were not told to rotate the foam from time to time. Eventually, I am told, all foam wears and must be replaced. I replaced the foam for a small cost since bed not under initial full warranty. Most importantly I discovered that Nautilus no longer sells beds and another company has purchased it. This company is American National Mfg., Inc. located in Corona CA. Phone is: (800)854-6295.
I do regret not purchasing the Select Comfort Bed. Since persons I know that own it do not have problems with it.
