Pros: Inexpensive, small size, SA sofware included if you need it.
Cons: Time to acquire, requires work to get to work with MapPoint 2004/Netstumbler.
The Bottom Line: For the cost, its a great first time GPS device for your computer. Will work with 3rd party software such as MP2004 & Netstumbler, with modifications.

I wanted to get a GPS device for my new Tablet PC. I didnt really need it, but wanted something low cost to play around with to start. I decided on the Delorme for about $99 after MIR and dont regret it.
I have MapPoint 2004 and heard of compatibly problems, but at the price and considering it has SA included I went for it.
SA is ok. I dont care much for it. Out of the box it wont install the whole program on the computer and tablet pc's dont have cd roms, but if you copy cd #2 to a folder on the HD and have SA point it, it will run fine without the cd. As far as accuricy with SA, I tried it on a few back road and it wasnt to accurate. (alittle off the road when I was on it). I didnt try major roads yet. I also had trouble with tracking a route, then viewing it later.
There is a way to get it to work with MapPoint 2004. After I did, I gave up on SA. Im still testing out MP, but think I will stick with it. I also want to get it to work with Netstubmler for wardriving. I havent had luck with it yet, others have, and in time I will. Thats not too important to me though.
