dahda's Full Review: DeLorme Earthmate Car GPS Receiver
I bought mine about three months ago from PC mall for $100 plus shipping, and so far this little GPS receiver worked perfectly. It is very accurate, has lot of options and contrary to other reviews I find the DeLorme software very easy to use. I agree the manual is not so informative, but after a while you can figure out how it works.
The only thing I do not like is the fact that when you get out of route, this device does not redraw a new route automatically, but only gives you voice commands to get into route. Anyway you still can visualize the original route on the map, so you can as a guide to get into route.
Another thing is the voice; it does not sounds very natural, but some kind of computerized voice.
If you want to have a GPS with out spending a lot of dollars, and you do not mind carrying on your laptop; I really recommend it.
