Thank you! But like you said, we aren't going away--just making our lives a little less hectic. :) If I ever manage to *finish* another book instead of just reading bits and pieces of many of them, I'm sure I'll even post another review. *grin*

I haven't actually read anything novel-length from Nagata. But "Goddesses" certainly has me interested. Thanks for the tip!
And sad to see you and Bridgette stepping down. Hard to imagine better suited CLs. At least you're not really leaving.

No wonder he makes sure to spell out his unmistakably manly middle name.

Nagata... (Reply to this comment)

Have you read her novel "Limit of Vision"? If you liked her story so much, you might like the novel. It's eerie and beautiful, and sounds somewhat similar in flavor.
Great review!

A chocolate-covered Anduitch? Well, if my wife had the chocolate fixation I do I might try it. . . .
(you did set the expectation for me to be as bad as dis)

And I will say, "I owe it all to Tom. He was my inspiration. Without his comments I don't know where I'd be!"

I really hate to correct you. I feel like I'm nitpicking.
But....Kim Stanley Robinson is a guy.
Sorry bud. Great review otherwise. :-)

Don't they already award the chocolate covered golden Anduitch Award every year? I could have sworn they did...........
I'll have to seek out this collection of stories, they do indeed sound worthy of the recognition they've been given, and your descriptions are equally compelling. Quit making me buy books, you're as bad as Dis ;)

you said...
"Until the day when the 'Panguitch' is accepted as the gold standard
of literary greatness, well be well served by the Nebula."
And I will say...
'I knew him when he was a pup; . . .still wet behind the ears . . ..'
Very..nicely..done !!
