Pros: Humm, a bunny with an attitude, colorful, part of a cool series.
Cons: Hard to find, discontinued by ThinkWay and Neopets.
The Bottom Line: If you thought that rabbit from Donny Darko was twisted ... chances are you’ve never encountered a Cybunny on your travels.

| Freak369's Full Review: Neopet Collectible Figurine Cybunny |
When I first started out at Neopets I really wanted a Cybunny but I never managed to get one; Im not sure exactly what happened or why I didnt get one. I dont have a strong liking for bunnies nor do I have a disliking for them; consider me neutral on them. One of the biggest advantages to having a Cybunny over a regular rabbit is that you dont have to vacuum up those little poop pellets that they leave everywhere. Then again, a Cybunny can hop on over to you and jab you with their nose to show you some affection. If you are a fan of the Cybunny species at the Neopet website then you will want to start hunting for your very own collectible figurine before they are all gone. Chances are most retail stores that carried them are no longer stocking them on shelves but if you are up for the challenge of scouring the clearance sections, you just may come across one of them there. I got mine from an auction seller who was getting rid of a lot of four Neopet figurines; they wouldnt split them so I could get the two that I really wanted so I ended up getting a Moehog, Wocky, Gelert and Cybunny for one price [plus shipping].
Neopet Cybunny Collectible Figurine
Before you even think it I am going to set things straight right now, this is a regular Cybunny figurine, not a morphed one. If you want one of the transformed ones you will have to look for the three pack sets that have one morphed figure and two regular ones. Those three packs do cost more than the individual ones [like this one] but you end up getting three figurines [or figures depending on what you prefer to call them] with one of them being special. I was hoping to get my hands on one of the colored ones but I ended up with the standard issue ones; it is pretty colorful and has a nice look to it. It looks a little bigger than other figures in the series because its ears are sticking straight up in the air, the only other ones that are this high are the Gelert and Wocky. It doesnt knock the scale of the others off so theres no problem posing them all together. Like the others, this comes with a black glossy stand that you can put it on but if you have a lot of them the stands take up a lot of space.
The Cybunny is cute but not girlie cute. The majority of the color is white but it does have pink and blue accents. These colors are for the regular Cybunny, if you have a morphed one or one of the painted ones, the colors will be different. One thing that is a constant is the facial expression; maybe its just me but they do have a little bit of a slightly evil look to them. Maybe its that small pink nose or the whiskers or they way that the eyes seem to follow you around the room. If you are looking at from the front view it does look rather plump but that is because of the back legs that are spread out, when you look at it from the side it looks a little more normal or at least as normal as a Cybunny can be. Someone posted a picture of a Halloween Cybunny on a Neopet fan message board [not at the Neopet website] and I was knocking myself out trying to find one of these but I later found out that this was something that the person hand painted from a regular Cybunny figurine. In any event, this one is a little bit over two inches high thanks to those perky ears. If you are looking to add a little bit of color to your Neopet figurine collection, this one is definitely one to try and track down.
Prices
Prices on these ranged from $2.99 to $4.99 when they were being sold in stores like Wal-Mart and Target but specialty stores tried to market them a little higher. I passed on this one when it was on the market thinking that they wouldnt be discontinued as quickly as they were. Thankfully for me I came across someone selling four of them at an online auction site [eBay]; ten dollars for four figures plus shipping. The bottom line price worked out to about three fifty for each of them which would have been the same price I would have paid for them if I would have gotten them when they were in stock. If you are going to try and buy these online make sure that year are getting the Neopet Collectible Figurine; ThinkWay and Neopets have a lot of different products on the market so it is easy to get confused. I wouldnt pay more than four dollars for one of these unless it were one of the specialty ones or you needed it to complete the series. I shouldnt have to tell you that if a deal sounds too sweet to be true then it probably is ... so look before you leap and scope things out before you order something online.
The Bottom Line
I am half tempted to try and paint this some spooky color but I know that I am only going to end up screwing it up. If I get a few more Cybunnies from auctions then I might play around with them but for now, this one is safe on my Neopet shelf with all the others that Ive been lucky to find. Out of all the ones that Ive collected so far this one is the largest; when you are looking at it from the front it looks huge because of the way the back legs are positioned. The white color breaks things up and that look on its face is simply priceless. Neopets and ThinkWay suggest this for kids ages four and older because of the possibility of them chewing on it and swallowing it. It goes without saying that if you are a Cybunny fan this is something that you will want to try to find and hey, its never too early to start packratting stocking stuffers for the holidays! On a side note I want to mention that this comes with a TCG trading card; this is different from a Rare Item Code card. If you come across a vendor or seller that is advertising this as something that comes with a Rare Item Code they are either flat out lying or they are completely misinformed about what they are selling.
As always, thanks for the read!
