Pros: Great card, lots of detail to illustration, high Agility stats.
Cons: Not all that fun if someone plays it on you.
The Bottom Line: This little spy should really consider taking some lessons in covert ops.

| Freak369's Full Review: Neopets Trading Card Game Battle for Meridell Unco... |
When it comes to the Neopet Trading Card Game there are a lot of really interesting characters that are included in the decks. For the Battle For Meridell series there are some really nice collectible cards regardless of whether or not you play them in a competition or just try to complete the 140 card deck. I really like this card because it is something that you can use to slow down another player and it become active at the end of each of your turns regardless of which arena you are playing in. Can this card be used against you? Not really but it's not all that fun when someone plays it on you and can pick to sink your top card at the end of every turn.
Neopet TCG 85/140: Meerca Spy
Imagery: I added a link at the bottom of the review so you can see a larger version of the card but that isn't exactly a good representation of it. The actual card is darker than that allowing you to see more of the detail of it. The little Meerca does look like a bloated tick so every time I see one at the Neopet website or on a TCG I do have to laugh. Especially this one, he has buck teeth and a wide nose. He's got a backpack full of tools too, perfect accessories to get in and get out without getting caught. There isn't a lot of information about what he is doing, if he is entering or exiting or what he plans on stealing but that's cool in a way, you can translate it any way that you want.
Deck Series: Battle For Meridell
Promo Card: No
Strength: 4
Agility: 13
Magic: 5
Intelligence: 7
Even though this card is a little low on most stats, Agility is high and this is something that gets used at the end of every turn that you take. From that aspect it is a great card to pick out for your active deck and throw at someone when they think that they have the game all tied up. I have only gotten a chance to use this three or four times but its always proven to be a great card to have and use in a situation where the other player doesn't plan his or her deck all that well. Is it rare? No, not in the least. I purchased three boxes of Battle For Meridell cards and ended up with four of the Meerca Spy.

Directions: This is a really nice card to have in play because it allows you to look at the top card of your opponents deck and move that card to the bottom or leave it as is. This could really mess up their strategy if they are a newer player and arent expecting a card like this to get put in action. When is the best time to play this? I'd say save it up for a mid game trump; that way if your opponent is trying to win in more than one arena, playing this card will allow you to thwart their efforts because it is something that happens at the end of each of your turns.
Quote: "That's the second time this week we've been ambushed and quite frankly, I'm getting rather annoyed" Based on the first impression of this card and the quote I assumed that the Meerca was captured and locked in a cell. It wasn't until I looked at the details of it that I realized that he was breaking into a room using the ceiling rafters and scaling down the rope.
To get a better look at this card, visit the NeoDeck listing at the Neopets website, or you could just cut and paste this link:

If you are into playing at the Neopet website too you can collect some very cool Meerca related items there too. Some of my favorites include: Meerca Negg Bomb, Happy Meerca Stories, Christmas Meerca Stamp, The Meerca Encyclopedia and Meerca Cinnamon Bun. There are also virtual trading cards in the Meerca theme to collect, two of my favorites are Meerca Catapult and Meerca Brothers.
The Bottom Line
This is a great card to have in your collection and if you play the TCG, it is even better to have a few of them in your deck. If you are looking to buy this card outright you can get it for .20 to .30 cents from select vendors or card resellers. If you are looking to trade it for something else, make sure you are getting something that is worth it. I'd go with a high item card that is worth at least two banking points or something that can be used on multiple turns. I am glad that I got multiples of this card. I was able to stow a few of them away to complete decks but still have two that I could use if I ever decided to get back into the TCG events.
As always, thanks for the visit
