| Freak369's Full Review: Neopets Trading Card Game Battle for Meridell Unco... |
If you've played the Neopet TCG then you know that there are a lot of different heroes and villains in the game. In regards to the Battle For Meridell series there are some very cool meanies but some equally impressive good guys that you can use throughout the game. You dont need to have any prior knowledge of Neopets in order to play the TCG but it does help when you are planning moves and building a deck. IF you spend any time at the site you will know how different species act, if they are brave or cowardly, whom they work best with and what they are capable of. That could be just the thing to give you an advantage over another player and the edge that could win you the event. That doesn't mean that you are going to automatically win but if someone doesnt know what Jhudora's temper is like or has no idea what a Night Stone is used for, well, you will have an obvious advantage.
Neopet TCG "Morris" 87/140
Imagery: Even though the Quiggles aren't my favorite species, the artwork for the Morris card is really nice with a slight touch of spookiness added. You can't really tell much from the background of the card outside of he is standing next to a large brick wall, presumably Meridell Castle. He has a "Makeshift Sword" 127/140 as his weapon of choice and looks like he is ready to take on the world. It isnt until you see the card in person that you get all the detail like his cape flipping up in the air, how his feet are positioned and his shadow that is cast on the wall behind him.
Deck Series: Battle For Meridell
Promo Card: No
Strength: +17
Agility: +17
Magic: +12
Intelligence: +10
A +17 for Strength is an incredible stat boost and something that could really help you rebound from a massive hit. You could use this at the beginning of the game to really scare opponents but it can just as easily be used in the middle. The rest of the stats aren't shabby either so even if you don't like the Quiggle species, this is a powerful card to have in your deck and the fact that it is a Hero card makes it all the better. Neopets classifieds this as an "uncommon" or "U" card so coming across it might not be all that easy but it certainly isn't impossible. Because of its ranking there are sellers that might try to bump up the price on this to get a little more for it, The last time I checked prices on it, it was selling in the .40 to .50 cent range but I would only pay that much for it if it were in mint condition. While this is a great card to have, you dont want to get ripped off when trying to get multiples of it.
Year Released: 2004
Series Number: 87/140
Hero | Quiggle | Water
Directions: In order to use this card you first need to have a Water pet in play; if Morris loses a contest the card is not tossed out of the game but rather it stays active. Considering the stats of the card even if this was tossed out if the event was lost it is still an incredible card to have. This is something that you can play at any point in the game but personally I liked to save it until I needed a stat boost or saw someone else getting a little too high in the Strength or Agility arena.
Quote: "He may be small in stature but he sure is big on courage" That pretty much sums up the Quiggle species in general, as long as they are on the ground they are fierce fighters and loyal to the end but get them inside the haunted Woods or up in the air and that might change ever so slightly. It is suiting that Morris gets his own card n the Battle For Meridell deck, his stats are incredible and even if you lose the contest, the card stays in play.
If you want to get a better look at this TCG you can check your album at the website to cut and paste this link into your browser:

The colors on the card as a little darker than the image can but at least you can see a bit more of the detail that the artwork has.
So you are a fan of the Quiggle, did you know that there are a lot of very cool Quiggle related items that you can get at the website as well as Hero related items? Some of the coolest include the "NeoQuest Hero Stamp", "Space Hero Wocky Boots", "Defenders of Neopia Heroes Colouring Book", "Nectar of the Heroes" and "NeoQuest Hero". For Quiggles,"Caramel Quiggle Foot", "Yellow Gummy Quiggles", "Orange Quiggle Spring", "A Quiggles Life" and "Quiggle Warlord".
The Bottom Line
This is a fairly easy card for newer players to make use of but advanced players can use it to trump someone or to scare people off at the beginning of a contest. Some players have said that they would be able to get a lot more from the card if the stats were evened out a little so instead of having +17 for Strength and Agility and only +10 for Intelligence, evening things out a little would make the card a bit more attractive in contests. Regardless, the numbers speak for themselves, any time you can get a +17 in any arena it is a good, good thing.
As always, thanks for the visit
