Pros: +11 for Agility, interesting artwork, easy to work into a deck.
Cons: No +2 if played against an Air Neopet.
The Bottom Line: Whether you like Quiggles or hate them, you can't argue with a 11 stat boost.

| Freak369's Full Review: Neopets Trading Card Game Battle for Meridell Unco... |
There are so many different cards in the Neopet TCG line up that keeping track of them is almost impossible unless you are super organized. Some people only collect cards from one series, others only buy the ones that they want to use for the game and then there are people like me that just buy the packs when they are super cheap. I have bought a few sealed boxes of cards but got way too many common ones so I decided to spread my money around and try my luck getting cards at random. The cards in the Battle For Meridell series are interesting and gave people a good idea of what was to come from other themes and adventures. Some of the other interesting decks include "The Return of Dr. Sloth" [100 cards], "The Darkest Fairy" [155 cards] and "The Haunted Woods" [100 cards]. Needless to say, the checklist at the website does come in handy to chart your progress and see which cards you still need.
Neopet TCG "Quiggle Scout" 92/140
Imagery: I am not a huge fan of the Quiggle, to me they look like really gross frogs but they do have some very impressive skills, are dedicated and loyal. This card shows a Quiggle high above Meridell, looking through a scope for approaching troops all he wishes for is to be back on the ground, or at the very least for a parachute. The Quiggle in this image looks like he is a real adventurer; there is a lot of detail to the background and you can see a slightly blurry image of Meridell Castle to the right side of the card. Another nice point of interest is the balloon that is carrying the Quiggle; there are some very suspicious hatch marks on it, could these be enemies that he has defeated?
Deck Series: Battle For Meridell
Promo Card: No
Strength: +4
Agility: +11
Magic: +8
Intelligence: +6
It's pretty obvious that the +11 for Agility is a big perk here but you can't overlook the other stats that this card offers. Personally, the Quiggle species never really appealed to me but when I would play the TCG this was one card that I always tried to work into a deck. Aside from the obvious point stats listed above you also get a +2 across the boards in arenas where you are not facing off against an Air opponent. This is a good card for players with a little bit of experience but newer players can use it with confidence due to the stat boost.
Year Released: 2004
Series Number: 92/140
Neopet | Experienced Quiggle | Air Water
Neopets classified this as an uncommon card; that simply means that you have less of a chance of getting it from packs or boxes but it isn't impossible to get. If you are trading cards you will want to get something that has comparable stats or a good +2 or +3 item banking card so you can work your way towards the 21 points that you need to win the event. The average selling price for this is between .35 and .55 cents but I would only pay that if it is in mint condition. As I have mentioned in other reviews of these cards, they are well made and will retain their overall look if you take care of them when they are not being played.
Directions: The only thing that you need to know about this card is that it isnt a good thing to play if your opponent has an Air pet equipped in any arena. When you play this card your stats are raised by +2 unless there is an Air pet as a challenger. It doesnt matter if the pet is experienced or not, if it is classified as an Air pet you can not add the +2 to it. This is as fairly good card to have in your deck because of the chance to add some quick points but only play it as a last resort if there are any Air pets present in any of the four arenas.
Quote: "I'd feel a lot safer if someone would hurry up and invent the parachute!" While most Quiggles are brave and fearsome they are best suited for ground work so seeing this one up in the air is pretty funny if you know anything about the species.
If you are into gaming at the Neopet website there are a lot of really cool Quiggle items to be had. Even though they arent my favorite species there are some pretty nifty things that are Quiggle related. Some of my favorites are the "Strawberry Chip Quiggle Cookie", "Quiggle Scissors", "Quivering Quiggles", "Assorted Gummy Quiggles", "The Eye of the Quiggle" and "Quiggle Swimming Guide". Some of the virtual cards you can collect include "Yellow Quiggle", "Quiggle Runner" and "Quiggle Strongman". Please remember, items that are given away at the site or things that are classified as 'special' or retired wont show up in Shop Wizard searches. Those include "The Giggling Quiggle" and "Pink Quiggle Scarf".
The Bottom Line
While the Quiggle might not be my favorite species I do love this card. The artwork on it is great and it can really help boost your pets stats. Wizards of The Coast does a great job with the cards but ultimately it is the designers and artists at Neopets that have to get the credit for coming up with the art you see, the text you read and the events that you play in. It would have been nice to get a little more in the way of a card quote but Quiggles have never been known for their verbosity.
As always, thanks for the visit
