This company should be shut down and the employees arrested for fraud and extortion.

I used them to register my domain name and host a website in 2002. In 2003 my site went down and they had no answers for me. Only some guy yelling at me over the phone calling me a jerk and threatening me. Needless to say I moved my website (I am also a reseller) to another company and updated my DNS.

Last Saturday, my current host moved domains to a new server and I needed to update my DNS. I went to manage.opensrs.org, logged in and went to update my DNS and it was locked. I could not even transfer my domain to another registrar. I tried to contact netmart, as they were the reseller. Their local registered phone is no longer in service, the number listed on their website is a dead end and they do not respond to emails. So, no answer on Saturday, no answer Sunday or Monday. Tuesday my website and email went down because of the server move. Netmart finally responded on their online ticket system telling me that they will unlock it for $167.40 claiming I owe them for a past due invoice! They are out of their minds. My domain was paid from 2003 until 2008 and I have not used them for any service since 2003.

I contacted compliance dept at tucows and the RCMP.

It will eventually get straightened out, but netmart should not be in business anymore.
