Pros: Soap-free. Scent. Lots O' Lather. Clean Rinsing.
Cons: The ingredients on the bottle are a 8itch to read!
The Bottom Line: Bar Soap is for sweaty men. Try Neutrogena Fresh Body Herbal Body Wash for a nice change of pace. Don't forget your poof!

| bterry's Full Review: Neutrogena Fresh Body Herbal Body Wash |
I have been converted. I rarely use bar soap these days - and prefer instead to use shower gels and body wash. After all, they're much more fun!
I've tried several, and one that I really like is Neutrogena Fresh Body Herbal Body Wash.
The first thing that I look for in a body wash is the scent. I tend to prefer scents that are clean and not overly feminine. Neutrogena Fresh Body Herbal Body Wash offers just that. It is slightly floral, but not so overpowering and girly that a guy would freak out about using it.
Aside from sniffing the stuff and reading the ingredients, there's not much more that you can do to check out the product while standing in the middle of the grocery store aisle. Once you get home, however - you can really see if the product works... and it does.
I have found that Neutrogena Fresh Body Herbal Body Wash provides a good amount of lather. One good squirt on my shower poof provides a full body washing. It also rinses off easily and leaves my skin feeling soft and clean.
The front of the bottle reads deodorant protection but I have found that it is less harsh on my skin than the typical deodorant bar soap. My skin does not feel dry and itchy after using Neutrogena Fresh Body Herbal Body Wash the way it does after using most of the deodorant soaps I have tried. While it doesn't eliminate the need for lotion completely, I find that I am fighting less of a battle against the dreaded "ashy leg syndrome".
After my shower, I notice a clean fresh smell throughout the bathroom. The scent remains on my shower poof and in the air for a while, but has not been too strong or lingering on my skin. I appreciate this because I do not want it to clash with the perfume that I wear daily.
Ingredients: Purified Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Sodium Laureth-13 Carboxylate, Disodum Cocamphodiacetate, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Fragrance, Polyquaternium-46, Linoleamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, Tetrasodium EDTA, PEG-150 Pentaerythrityl Tetrastearate, Isostearamidopropyl Laurylacetodimonium Chloride, DMDM Hydantoin, Soyethyl Morpholinium Ethosulfate, Yucca Schidigera Extract, BHT, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride, Propylene Glycol, FD&C Yellow No. 5, D&C Green No. 5
Normally, I prefer products with more natural ingredients than what Neutrogena Fresh Body Herbal Body Wash contains, but I haven't experienced any reactions or problems with this product, and I like the scent so much, I'll be buying another bottle again soon.
From the bottle: Neutrogena Fresh Body Herbal Body Wash delivers effective deodorant protection in a gentle, soap-free formula. This rich gel contains an herbal fragrance of eucalyptus and orange flower, which eliminates odor while invigorating your senses with lush green and citrus notes. This gentle formula thoroughly cleanses and refreshes skin, rinsing clean without leaving a filmy residue.
Fresh Body is also skin pampering, enriched with glycerin and other skin conditioners that will leave your skin soft and smooth. You're left with a lasting shower-fresh feeling and soft silky skin.
I only wish that it actually contained eucalyptus and orange flower - instead of just the fragrances of the two - but since the fragrance is what originally sold me, I think I can live with it.
Essentially Neutrogena Fresh Body Herbal Body Wash does what it claims above. I feel fresh and clean after every use. I also feel that my skin is left feeling soft and less dry.
The bottle says that in addition to using it with a washcloth or poof, that you can add it to your running bath water to make a bubble bath. I haven't tried that yet - but think that it sounds relaxing and soothing.
Maybe I should go run some bath water...
