Pros: An inexpensive cleanser that works double-time to help cleanse my skin.
Cons: Doesn't always remove mascara, giving me dark under-eye stains.
The Bottom Line: Recommended for either a starter OR as a staple for basic face cleansing. Who needs the more expensive products when this does the job more than adequately?

| maguilar's Full Review: Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser |
Everyone knows the Neutrogena brand..you get it at the local drugstore..its seemingly everywhere. What many people don't know is that Neutrogena separates themselves out from the 'other' under $10 products that line the beauty shelves by the quality of their product. I use a few of their products and have been pleasantly surprised each time, especially for the low cost. The Fresh Foaming Cleanser is the cleanser I do use..and it was probably my first or second 'face care' product, I used this before I used moisturizer or eye cream, or anything. In the past I had horrible face-care habits..never washed at night, never put on cream, etc. Luckily, I would only break out with the odd pimple on the nose once a month.
However, as I got a little older..I started realizing that I had to begin caring for my skin and the first step was actually washing it! Luckily, I don't wear alot of makeup so in the past it hadn't been a huge problem that I only washed my face in the shower. However, once I bought the Fresh Foaming Cleanser (on an impulse while at the store), I made the commitment to get into the habit of washing nightly.
The product surprised me..it foams, it smells good..very light smell, and it gets the job done. What I like best is after I wash my face, my skin looks very rosy, clear and almost ethereal in a strange way..it lasts just a few minutes but it looks better than any makeup or cream I could ever put on! Just from washing..who knew?! :)
The only downside I can say is that sometimes when I have alot of eye makeup on from a night out or similar, the Cleanser doesn't always get it all off, though this could be from my paranoia of getting soap in my eyes resulting in me not rubbing too closely around the eye.
However other than that..its super and its CHEAP. The pump dispenses generous amounts, and when I wet it, it foams up immediately for me with a little rubbing. Compared to the other face-care items I now use, like Creme de La Mer and La Prairie..I am SO happy paying the $7 for the Neutrogena cleanser..it does the trick without emptying the wallet! I highly recommend it for someone who is just starting out with a face regime, or just wants something to make their face feel fresh before bedtime.
