When Neutrogena made this MoistureShine Gloss available to me via the magazine I write for, I groaned. See, I do not as a rule like glosses at all. I find the constant need for re-application to be a pain in my butt, and they are generally just too sticky feeling for me. Still, I decided to give this one a fair trial. I have decided that I still do not like glosses but, if one must use it, then this one is not bad.

I'm not sure how many colors are available in this line, but mine is Clear (Sweet Nothing 01) which suits me just fine. At first I rolled my eyes at the idea of it being colorless, but have actually come to like that part. It has a nice sheen to it without being all gaudy. If it lasted longer than 20 minutes, I might even be sold on it completely.
This one comes in a clear, square tube with a gold-ish plastic cap which screws off. I've tried a few with pull-off lids and I gotta say I just hated those. Screw-off is the way to go if you plan to carry this in your purse, all right. Good move there. Who wants goopy crap all over everything else in their purse, right?
The applicator attached to the cap resembles a long eyeshadow wand with the cottony tip. It grabs just enough of the gloss to do the job without being messy.
When I first put it on, there is a slight sugary taste which I find rather pleasant. Unfortunately, it is ever-so-slight and vanishes almost the moment you detect it. Shame, that. There is also the bare wisp of a sugary scent.
As far as the goopiness factor is concerned, well, it's a gloss. all glosses I've tried have been tacky and goopy. It is partly why I tend to stay away from them. Having said that, The MoistureShine is not as bad as others I've tried. I'd even go so far as to say that it is probably the least offensive of them all so far. After the initial stickiness, it quickly changes into more of a slick feeling.
So. Having stated my prejudice against glosses in general right up front, I am going to go ahead and give this one 3 stars. That is very high for me for these type of products. If you are the type who enjoys glosses, I think you would do well to give this one a try. It's certainly a hella lot better than that crap Estee Lauder puts out...
