With so many skin/acne treatments on the market today, I usually stick with my usual brands. However, after reading another review on Neutrogena’s Multi Vitamin Acne Treatment, I decided it was a must for my skin care regimen. As I have stated before in other reviews, I have very oily skin. I rarely have blemishes or acne, but occasionally I do have a breakout. This product has served its duty with my occasional blemishes, but also with another skin condition I have. First I will give you the lowdown on the actual product, and it’s performance, then I will explain how wonderful this Multi Vitamin Acne Treatment is for the somewhat rare skin condition that I have.

I purchased the Multi Vitamin Acne Treatment a few weeks ago, and have been using it daily. I must say, it’s different than any other “acne” treatment I have ever used before! But it is a good difference; it has some unique ingredients.

The Product and its Ingredients

Neutrogena’s Multi Vitamin Acne Treatment comes in a unique pump bottle. I like this because it’s much easier to pump the product out rather than have to squeeze or pour it out. Just a personal like of mine <g>.
It comes in a 2.5 ounce bottle that is short and wide, but easy to hold in one hand.

This Multi Vitamin Treatment is very unique compared to other acne treatments I have seen. Not only does it contain the usual 1.5 % salicylic acid, it contains vitamins! I find this to be a great addition to an acne treatment. The other ingredients and their “purposes” are as follows:

~ Vitamin A, Vitamin E and Pro-vitamin B5 – these vitamins are very nourishing to your skin; they help treat and prevent damage to your skin; gives you healthier looking skin

~ Natural Fruit Extracts – these extracts help to reduce the red, blotchy markings from previous breakouts; they even out the skin’s appearance and reveal a “clearer, smoother complexion”

I think Neutrogena did a wonderful thing when they included such wonderful, beneficial ingredients in an acne treatment!

How It Works and How to Use It

This Multi Vitamin Acne Treatment is designed to treat and prevent acne, and help improve the skin’s appearance with continued use. To use this product, first cleanse the skin, and then apply a thin layer of the treatment to the skin. Leave the treatment on and then follow with a moisturizer if you wish, and then your usual make up. Then use the treatment again before bed, after another cleansing of course. If this causes dryness or peeling, just use once a day or once every other day.

The lotion is lightweight and it won’t clog your pores. When you first apply it, it feels a little greasy, but I have found that it “dries” and leaves no sticky or greasy feeling. And it does dry clear, even though the lotion is a pink – orange color. It’s also very easy to smooth in and the skin instantly absorbs it.

The Results

I have had good results from the Multi Vitamin treatment. I have only used it on a couple of breakouts, and it seemed to work well at clearing up the problem. And since I have oily skin, I am leery of applying anything that is a lotion to my face, but this didn’t seem to cause any problems.

Here are Neutrogena’s findings in some long term results:

With continual use of this Multi Vitamin treatment, there are significant results after 2, 4 and 8 weeks of use. After 2 and 4 weeks of use, you will see significant results, but you will see the best results after 8 weeks of use. According to Neutrogena, after 8 weeks of use, you will see a “clear improvement” in your overall complexion, your skin clarity, your skin texture, in the evening out of blotchy skin tones and smoother skin. Wow, this product delivers! I have been using for about 2 weeks, and I can definitely vouch for the “clearer, smoother skin”.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with acne, or blotchy skin from past acne. I think this is a wonderful product because it’s for acne, but also helps you get healthier, clearer skin with the vitamin supplements!

Okay, now I will talk about my skin “condition” and how this product has helped me!

The skin condition I have is called Keratosis Pilaris, and a dermatologist diagnosed me about one year ago. Keratosis Pilaris is a skin condition that causes small bumps to appear on specific parts of the body. They can appear on some or all of these places: cheeks of the face, back of upper arms, thighs, hips and buttocks. They are not pimples, but they are just as annoying!

This condition is hereditary, and there is no cure, only treatment. Most of the time the affected persons have very dry skin, but in my case this is not so. I have used many prescription lotions and creams, and I have not had any luck. I have had the bumps on my arms for several years, and now they are finally clearing up thanks to this Multi Vitamin treatment! I have never had such wonderful results from any product in the last 2 years! If you have Keratosis Pilaris, you should go out and buy this product NOW! It has done the “impossible” for me!

I have gotten the best results by using a loofah sponge and a body moisturizer in the shower, and applying the Multi Vitamin treatment immediately after I get out of the shower. I started to see results after 2 applications.
