Pros: Reduces fine lines, increases skin's moisture retention
Cons: Smells funny, Best used at bedtime as your hands can feel greasy.
The Bottom Line: Great for improving the quality of your skin, but not for instant moisture relief. Use this for longtime repair, not instant repair.

I can almost always trust Neutrogena when it comes to body moisture. Why? Theyre Norweigian. They live in one of the coldest parts of the world so I imagine by now theyve perfected it. So when my hands were in dire need of some tender loving, moisturizing care, right off the bat I knew I had to see what Neutrogena had on the shelf. Thats when I came across their product, New Hands.
About Neutrogena New Hands
Neutrogena New hands comes contained in a 2.7 oz. (75g) tube with a flip-top cap and a small opening. The formula itself is a creamy pale yellow and, in my opinion, with a pretty strange odor.
From Neutrogena: Neutrogena New Hands is a clinically proven restorative hand treatment that gives hands a more youthful appearance by diminishing visible signs of aging, such as fine lines and age spots.
New hands contains: Pro-Retinol (a Vitamin A derivative) revitalizes the skin from within to help reveal newer looking hands; Vitamin C and E help fight the oxidation process that can damage skin; Pro-Vitamin B5 moisturizers, adds suppleness and improves firmness; SPF 15 helps protect skin from everyday sun exposure.
New Hands Needs a New Scent
After using this product once a day after a week of use, I began to see a significant difference. My hands were softer and there were fewer fine lines along my knuckles and joints. Consistent use after that brought an improvement in moisture retention and general overall appearance of my hands.
However, if this product had a downside, it would be the scent. At first it smells ok. You initially think, Hmmm... And then after a moment, it seems to transform, and then you can smell this sub-scent that makes you think, Eww. To be quite honest, its quite unpleasant and I wonder if its because of some of the ingredients it contains. Luckily it doesnt linger for very long, at least until its absorbed into the skin.
Additionally, this product takes about a minute to be absorbed into the skin and leaves a strange feeling on the tips of your fingers after application. In fact, I try to use this product only at night so I wont have to deal with this.
One thing to note, if youre looking for instant moisture, something to relieve dry, cracked, itchy hands, DO NOT use this product because it has active ingredients that could worsen or irritate the problem. This cream is not meant to be instant repair, but longtime repair.
Overall
I was satisfied with this product. After consistent use, I found there was a change in the skin on my hands. It was more supple, more pliable, and had more moisture retention as opposed to being dry.
