| Lisa_J's Full Review: Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash Cleansing Cloths |
As I mentioned in an earlier review my oldest daughter has arrived at that tender age in which her back and face is an oil factory, and blackheads/pimples have started to stake their claim on her previously smooth skin. Twelve-year-old girls are concerned with their changing bodies, zits pack power to drag down the spirit. As a licensed Cosmetologist I realize that it is vital that they begin a skincare regimen.
If any of you are parents of teens you realize that one determining factor of using acne care/prevention products can be convenience. For this reason I have provided our 12-year-old daughter with various products that allow her to wage friendly war on her face. Perhaps war is a strong word, but if you have ever dealt with acne you know that the road to clear skin can be an exasperating process.
Chels is happy with the Neutrogena products, doesn’t complain about using them, so this line is one that I have committed to trying different products within. She often cleanses her face with Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. However overnight excursions occur, and occasionally evenings don’t include a shower. When such is the case, the facial cleansing option she reaches for are Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash Cleansing Cloths.
These 7.25" x 6" cloths arrive 30 to a package and are housed in a container similar to a baby wipe dispenser. The peach colored container is almost square in shape, and the lid opens toward the back. It is safe to say that the liquid, foam, and/or bar cleanser is more reasonable, but for use the Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash Cleansing Cloths serve a good purpose. Primarily they provide convenient on-the-go skin care for Chels.
The active ingredient in the 7.25" x 6" Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash Cleansing Cloths is 2% Salicylic Acid. One of the attributes of these cloths in comparison to others that I have provided for Chels is that one side of the cloth has an exfoliating texture. This is actually a mild exfoliation, not replica of products that feel like sandpaper. Nonetheless it is vital that you remember that this skin care system is intended for those with acne prone skin and works especially well for those with oily skin traits or an oily t-zone.
Chels removes one cloth from the container, splashes her face with cool water, dampens the cloth with lukewarm water, rubs the cloth together to create a lather, cleanses her face, and rinses. She likes the ease of use and just puts a couple into a ziploc bag when heading to an overnight excursion. The fragrance is mild and non-offensive. She has been using these cloths for approximately 2 months. These aren’t her exclusive facial cleansing method, but a great on-the-go choice.
This product has worked well for her and we recommend it.
I have tried the Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash Cleansing Cloths approximately six times with good results. They are easy to use, clean pores well, and yet refrain from being too harsh.
If you don’t have acne tendencies, don’t have oily skin, and don’t need to use Salicylic Acid on your face – THIS ISN’T A PRODUCT FOR YOU. However… If you, or someone in your family, is in need of an acne cleansing system you might want to consider including these within your stockpile.
