beena500's Full Review: Neutrogena Weightless Volume Wax-Free Mascara
So here I am in my local drugstore, cursing the Covergirl mascara that suddenly betrayed me with stinging eyes and clumping. Oh well, I thought. At least there's a sale today.
And so I found Neutrogena Weightless Volume Wax-Free Mascara . Originally, $8.99 it was on sale for $4.99, I thought I might as well buy it. After all, everyone loves a bargain!
The Product Neutrogena Weightless Volume Wax-Free Mascara comes in a slightly torpedo shaped, black tube which holds 0.28 ounces or 7.9 grams of mascara.
The brush is ordinary and dispenses the perfect amount of mascara.
Now let me warn you about the smell. I don't know if anyone else noticed it, but the mascara smells of strong, burned garlic. Or something that is equally tear inducing. I hope this is normal and that the mascara hasn't turned bad.

The Pros
I chose this mascara in Rich Black and eagerly applied it as soon as I got home.
Wax-Free Mascara was true to its claims: it didn't clump, it didn't build up and no smearing at all. My eyelashes are quite thin and very sparse on the lower lids. This mascara defined, rather than built up the individual lashes.
Now for the warning: this is a mascara for those who want to look natural.
It defines, rather than builds up eyelashes. After a few years of clumpy lashes, I was relieved to get one that was maintenance free. It gave enough color and "volume" to highlight my eyes - but not enough to draw attention to them.
I apply two layers to the top and bottom lashes and then leave it like that - no combing and no separation needed. I could get very used to this!
The Cons
Perhaps the promise of "volume" is a bit much eh? Much like clear mascara, this mascara is not a volume builder. It is a lash definer. It does not thicken your eyelashes enough to make your eyes pop and it does not provide the amount needed to make you Twiggy.
This was good enough for me, but probably not for those who want to play up their eyes.
