Just before last summer hit, I needed to find a sneaker that would get me through a summer of pure exercise. I joined a Drum and Bugle Corps that spends at least 14 hours a day either practiceing or performing a show. Every day we worked hard in the sun. Both running and doing situps and pushups. We were on our feel almost all of the time and always moving around. I decided to by a pair of New Balance's because they have always lasted a long time for me.
You must know that most people who march with Drum and Bugle Corps usually go through at least 2 pairs of sneakers...sometimes more. My New Balance's lasted me the whole summer. Granted that by the end of the summer they were extreamly worn down, and it was time for them to be retired. They still made it through the summer. I thought that this was truly amazing. I feel that New Balance makes a fairly rugged shoe that will last. Good Job New Balance :-)
