It is obvious that this guy's carrier didn't fit correctly. Bad reviews are just not fair to the company when the customer doesn't seek out help from the manufacturer. The phone number is on the label!

Just the facts, ma'am (Reply to this comment)

I think mouthing off about a product because you couldn't figure it out is just irresponsible. People need to understand that no matter what carrier you use, the point is attachment parenting. Even New Native will tell you that even if this carrier didn't work for you, that they hope you find something that does work for you. All parents are looking for something different. The person who wrote this review was obviously looking for a structured carrier - more like a backpack than a sling. And that's fine! Some babies love this sling, though, and only fall asleep once they are secure inside it. Maybe that person hasn't seen the plethora of "i-can't-live-without-this-carrier" reviews that are out there.
The main problems people have with the New Native Baby Carrier are the baby not being able to see out, or the baby not being comfortable in a confined space. New Native offers an infant support pillow for either of these problems. It can both make the baby put his/her head back for good airflow and straighten baby's spine, and open up the carrier to make room for the baby's legs. Furthermore, New Native even shows you how to create an alternative with a bath towel on their website, so you don't have to buy anything else. About the baby falling out and the fabric scrunching on the shoulder, it seems obvious that the carrier did not fit correctly. If it is not snug enough, it is not safe for your baby, and it is probably not going to be easy on your back either.
My advice is, be honest with yourself about what you want from the beginning, and save yourself some trouble and embarrassment.
