| catie214's Full Review: Newcastle Brown Ale England 18.6oz |
Many a night spent in a the pubs of Dublin and London cultivated my love for this beer. Guinness is too heavy, U.S. domestics are too light, but Newcastle - - simply perfect.
This easy drinking ale is a perfect choice when you want to savor your drink. It has a smooth and consistent flavor that should appeal to a wide spectrum of tastes. It's mild chocolate background tones mix with the traditional hoppy flavor expected of ales.
Newcastle has no bitterness and is an excellent selection when you can't decide what to order or if you want something new but nothing too exotic.
If you are a light beer drinker, this ale will seem heavy so do not order it as an accompaniment to your dinner, you may not be able to finish your meal.
Newcastle Brown Ale is a wonderful drink and could easily become your regular choice. It's simply perfect when you want to relax and enjoy a good beer.
One note, if Newcastle is not available on tap, it may be served in a very large bottle equivalent to two servings, so be sure to ask your server if you only want one drink.
