the sweet sweet beginning...
I discovered the delicious taste of NewCastle while @ Blake's, a bar on Telegraph Ave. in Berkeley. Me and my friend left a business meeting and decided to get dinner and some drinks. He recommended some NewCastle Premium Brown Ale. I took a sip and then downed the whole glass! That is some great Brown Ale, I told him.. He told me, "Premium England stuff brother...". From that point on, NewCastle has been my premium drink of choice. =)
The Night of Broken Glass and Bloody Hands
Here's a little story of how two empty glass bottles of NewCastle turned into an outrageous night... I was working on a layout project for a newspaper on the Berkeley campus and we were having a few drinks to help us get through a long night of editing and layout... Halfway through, my friend Dave wanted to imitate Hong Kong Gangsters and break two glass bottles together and use them as weapons.. What ended up happening was the Manager chased him down the street... Later, I found out he cut his hand while he was doing that... Well, the story has more to it... but I will not digress from describing the rich, full, delicious taste of NewCastle.
Where to Get?
Well, besides your local liquor store... it's mainly sold in grocery markets.. It's not available at all though, because it is "PREMIUM"... The cost last time I bought it was about 9 dollars for a six-pack of bottles. Once you've tried it.. you'll never go back to 40s again. Drink up and Drive Safely.
