Pros: It was very descriptive and educational
Cons: None it was just that good
So I had to read this book for school because we were tearing about the Holocaust. When I say this book was a tear jerkier it had me almost to tears. It was very descriptive and took me on the sad journey of these peoples lives. This was a true story so this is what made it even sadder because you look at how these people lived and wonder how we could have avoided this. Even though not all the words are the exact as what was said during this time I think he did a pretty good job at recreating all his past memories. Not lots of Holocaust survivors talked about what happened to them but I think he did enough in this book to keep what the memory alive. This book is motivational and gave me hope and to see that my life is not that bad and their is a god because he delivered these people out of oppression. This book was also very educational and I actually ended up righting my final essay based on this book. I even think the author is still alive. I am so happy he digged back into his dark past and retold the story of his family and community and all the Jew and how they lived through the worse.
