| jiji3000's Full Review: Nike Air Max Triax |
Ever since the Nike Air Max Triax debuted in 1994, the shoe instantly became known as the perfect running shoe for the intermediate runner. This latest installment is not different and offers the same excellent features that its predecessors offered.
Pros
Like most Nike shoes, the outsole of the Triax is made of BRS 1000 carbon rubber which gives the shoes excellent durability. The mesh and synthetic leather upper give the Triax solid breathability as well. While the Triax does not have the full, visible Air unit that the Nike Air Max, Nike Air Max Deluxe, or the Nike Air Max Flame have, the shoes does have a visible heel Air-Sole unit and a forefront Air-Sole unit. This gives the shoes more than adequate comfort and feel, without the heavy price tags of the other Air Max shoes. The Phylon midsole also contributes to the comfort and feel of the shoe.
Cons
The Nike Air Max Triax is a great running shoes for running on paved roads or walkways in the park. But if you do a lot of trail running, hiking, etc., the Triax is not the best shoe for this kind of activity. The Terra Humara or the Humara S are much better for such activities.
Overview
Without a doubt, the Nike Air Max Triax is a solid running shoe that will not disappoint, continuing in the tradition of the Triax line. There are other shoes in the Triax line as well such as the Structure Triax and others, but none have the same comfort and performance that the Nike Air Max Triax. The fairly lightweight design offers support and comfort and is perfect for the jogger in the park type of runner. I would definitely recommend this shoe for such type of runners.
