Pros: Cheaper than other bags, ventilated
Cons: No padding in the shaft, blade area is big for players' sticks
The Bottom Line: The Nike Quest Hockey Stick Bag is a simple and basic bag. Recommended as a cheap bag without all the features of more expensive ones.

Why have a bag for hockey sticks?
Sometimes it seems counterintuitive. Considering all the abuse that a player puts his or her hockey stick through during a game, it seems odd that someone would then put it in a bag after a game. For the most part, a hockey stick won't (or shouldn't) be handled as roughly off the ice as it would on.
However, a stick bag does have its uses. Many players use several sticks, and so keeping them together in one bag makes carrying several sticks much easier. Also, hockey sticks can be expensive, and therefore keeping it in a bag protects the stick, and anything that the stick might contact outside of the rink.
This review is for the Nike Quest Hockey Stick Bag.
The Specs
Retailers who sell the Nike Quest Hockey Stick Bag commonly list the following features:
- Ergonomic, padded, adjustable shoulder strap
- Water-resistant 420D nylon
- Holds 3 sticks
- 65"/163 cm in length
This bag is sized such that it could be used by either players or goalies. Sizewise, the blade part of the bag is large enough to hold about two goalie sticks, and is padded to protect the stick's blade. The bag opens at the blade with a zipper.
The shaft part of the bag has a mesh-like material sewn in the middle, and is semi-transparent. There is also one buckle near the top of the shaft part of the bag, which will allow a person to attach this bag to their hockey bag.
The shoulder strap is made up of two straps that are held together with a velcro "buckle", and as such, it can also function as a hand strap as well.
The Nike "swoosh" is embroidered on the shaft and blade of the bag as well.
Pricewise, I purchased this bag online for $12.99.
What I like
The bag holds my two hockey sticks adequately, and I have no worries that it could hold another.
The mesh like material is a nice feature. It allows you to see inside the bag, as well as allow ventilation for the sticks, which can be wet after a game of ice hockey.
What I don't like
Padding is minimal, only existing in the blade part of the bag. There is no padding along the shaft part of the bag, and aside from the nylon, sticks are not heavily protected.
Since this is also sized to carry a goalie stick, a non-goalie will find that the bag seems too big for their sticks (a player's stick being much thinner). With the sticks in the bag, there is excess "bag" hanging off the ends of the blade.
The Nike Quest Hockey Stick Bag could also use one more buckle on the bottom half of the bag. With just the one buckle on the top side of the shaft, attaching to a hockey bag isn't as easy.
Conclusion
The Nike Quest Hockey Stick Bag is a simple hockey bag, and is suitable for basic use. The lower price makes it one of the cheapest stick bags you can find. However, given the lower price, you won't get all the features you might find in a more expensive bag.
