Pros: Sharp, Sharp, Sharp. Comfortable size compared to other F2.8 zooms
Cons: Small condensation or something in my lens, but does not appear to affect quality
The Bottom Line: Sharp as a tack, this lens continues to deliver Nikon Legendary quality. You can't beat the size of this lens, unless you go with a prime lens.

After comparing the Tokina F2.8 lenses between themselves, I wanted something that would be very sharp at F2.8, which led me to buy this lens used. The major downfall with many of Tokina 2.8 lenses is that they have a soft focus effect at F2.8, which is nice, but I was looking for something REALLY sharp.
This lens met my requirements, and is the lens I use most often for my shooting. I tried it out on my N80, but it was a little lens-heavy, but not as bad as the 28-70 F2.8's. On my N90s it is a match made in heaven, and this setup, paired with a SB-28, is one of my favorite wedding setups to use. I do not like the push-pull zoom, but after using so many older zoom lenses that use this style, it has become second nature to me. What I am worried about now is that there is a little condensation on the elements inside, but it does not appear to affect picture quality at all. I have heard rumors that the coating on the elements has started to degrade, but see no sign on this lens.
You will not go wrong with this lens. Great buy.
