So far I love this thing. The LCD screen is bright and clear. I would'nt want to watch a movie on it, but it is nice for reviewing songs, settings, etc. The main thing I like about this player is that the sound quality is awesome. I'm amazed at the sound coming out of those little earbuds. I can't compare this unit to any other brands, this is my first mp3 player. I bought it mostly for music. I really considered the ipod nano, but then you are tied to their software only. Plus the Sony looked sleeker, and caught my eye. I also think Sony has Apple beat hands down , when it comes to the navigation, and menus within the unit. It does what I wanted it do, very nicely. Battery life is great!!!! You won't be disappointed. With this mp3 player you won't need to replace the original earbuds, as I have heard people are doing with other brands. These are top notch, and a joy to listen with. Another nice thing is the price. It is cheaper than alot of the others I looked at. Sony has had a great reputation in the electronics world for years, and they haven't let me down on this one so far. So if you are looking for an mp3 player take a good look at this unit, before making any hasty decisions, just because everyone else has an ipod, is no reason not to shop around. I think the ipod is too over rated.
