ddesigner's Full Review: Nikon D300 Digital Camera with 18-200mm lens
I would recommend this camera for bird watchers, sports enthusiasts, well, anything outdoors. I'm a graphic designer and I purchased the camera knowing that it's predecessor got high marks in multiple categories. I was excited to use the camera in a studio setting, but my hopes were met with lousy shots. First of all the White balance is just plain terrible. With my old canon, you could just take a photo and use that as your white balance. after looking through pages of info, there's no simple way to correct the problem. closeup photos are blurry, making this camera useless to me for my business. Sad to think I have to pull my old SLR 6.3 megapixel canon out for better shots.
