mmspurge's Full Review: Nintendo GameCube White Console
I purchased this about 2 years ago for about 100 dollars. Not bad but now that the wii is out there are no new games for gamecube. The reason I purchased the gamecube was for Mario games and little kid games (no I'm not a little kid but I enjoy Mario!) I worked at a toy store and this was always the console I recommended when parents were looking for their younger kids. It has a wide variety of games but it is on its way out. I would suggest this rather than the handheld games but I really just do not like the handhelds so maybe that is why. The games are in lots of genres as Need for speeds, Lego Star wars, Mario Racing, Mario Tennis etc. I was really hoping for an original type Mario game but have yet to find one. Controls are easy, graphics are kinda lame compared to what is out there now. This is probably even cheaper now but still worth it. Remember: no new games are made for this system. If I were you I would wait and purchase a wii as it really does look quite exciting. If your kids want a system I would suggest this one if you can have them play older games and not the newest ones out there.
