qtallyn's Full Review: Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP Blue Console
I was somewhat skeptical when I bought this for my son. A lot of people told me that it would help his with his hand eye coordination. I saw it for myself, watching him perfect each game and showing better hand-eye coordination in his daily life. There are so many games, mostly used, but the price range is so good and the games for his age so plentiful that it is never hard to guess what he is getting for presents.
He loved this system and used to take it everywhere. This Christmas he got a Nintendo DS, which plays both Game Boy Advance SP games and Nintendo DS games. He no longer had a need for the Game Boy Advance SP, so we re-gifted it to his cousin. This little system has been going from child to child for some time now, as I bought it used when my son was 4. He is now 6 and the Game Boy Advance SP is still going, the games keeping growing and both boys are happy.
There are really no drawbacks to this system as the only things to keep track of are the system itself, the games and a charger. I would recommend this toy for any child over 4 with supervision. They can last forever and they prove their worth in games and in durability.
