Pikmin is an adorable game that is truly unique. You control these cute little lemming-like creatures. They will help you re-build your shattered spaceship and get you back into space. The little guys will follow you everywhere (sometimes right into harm's way) and will try and do whatever you tell them to do.
This is truly a family game as there is nothing terribly offensive. The most violent thing the Pikmin do is beat up giant bugs and other ugly creatures. Sometimes the Pikmin do get squished or eaten, however!
Once you finish the major challenge of the game, you can go back and try and beat your time. After that, there are some other challenges to play, but that's pretty much it. Once completed, it will probably gather dust on your shelf.
I still think it is worth buying. If you're not sure, rent it from Blockbuster first!
