So true (Reply to this comment)

Yup, the guys at GameStop think I'm one cool middle-aged woman. We swap stories on how I snagged a Wii (yeah, I was #1 in line at 4 am) and how my elbow is aching right now (ExciteTruckitis).
I've already had to call Nintendo for support on the controller. One time the buttons sort of froze on ours. Solution? Turn over and whack on your hand. LOL.

Yeah I didn't really tell my story at all. It's not really all that interesting other than I didn't have to wait in line or fight with anyone, and no I didn't hold anyone up at gunpoint. I pretty much showed up at Target during the first restock 30 minutes after it opened and picked up #44. No waiting in line for me, though it was really cold waiting for the car to warm up. Oh well.

Late-comer agrees (Reply to this comment)

After a year of it being a "wish" we went into a mad OCC/impulse scramble just a month ago calling everyplace we could think of to purchase a WII, finally figured out we could order it online through Wal-mart and got it within a week. Although the "bundle" restrictions doubles the price, there are a lot of options/choices and you get 4 $40 games to start with.
Being that it's been almost a year since you wrote your review, and a "newbie" I'm still a little disappointed at the limited selection of games. However, being able to purchase a from a large number of used gamecube games, rather cheaply, and with the unique feel of the WII specific games that nail the controllers, I'm still hopeful that developers will run with the new technology. It makes it a lot more fun.

I'm hoping that the lack of games is that it's taking developers a year to get used to what they can do with the controls. With all the demand for the Wii, something has to give.
