Pros: Excellent skin cream, non-greasy, adds a great glow to your skin.
Cons: Would not work well on someone with oily skin who needs a matte finish instead.
The Bottom Line: Excellent product for tanned or darker skin tones as it adds a wonderful glow.

This is one of my favorite accidental purchases.
I'm a fan of nivea's face and body cream formula that I usually buy in France. Couldn't find it here anywhere, and thought I'd try this instead. Nivea's Silky Shimmer Lotion was a huge surprise; not only was it the same formula as the lotion I'd fallen in love with overseas, but it had the added attraction of the tiniest traces of gold shimmer to it.
At first I was appalled at the idea of make-up in my lotion [as any mica or pearlized shimmer really is] but tried it after a day at the beach. I tan easily, but the addition of the shimmer in the lotion not only kept my skin moist, but enhanced my tan beautifully! Between the shimmer and the wonderful smooth non-greasy moisturizer I was hooked.
Was also thrilled to see that in many drugstores they now have a small sample size to put in your luggage for trips away. Keep your eyes peeled for that one.
Nivea is an excellent product for anyone who has excessively dry skin or spends a lot of time in the sun. It absorbs quickly and does not leave a waxy feel to the skin. Best after a hot bath of course as that is when your pores are open from the heat and best able to make use of the products benefits.
