I am a lotion freak, and when summer comes around, I always set out for the best lotion because naturally it's a time when more skin will be revealed! My bathroom is completely full of the various lotions that I've tried over several months, all guaranteed to do something different. Nomatter how many I've tried, nothing seems to do if for me. Even Bath & Body Works and Victoria's Secret's line have left alot to be desired. Then it came- Nivea Body Silky Shimmer Lotion. I had tried Nivea products before (The Firming Lotion after I had my daughter) and was somewhat pleased, but this was 100 times better!
~The Product~
Nivea Silky Shimmer Lotion is a lotion that is designed to moisturize your skin and make it look better by the use of light reflecting pigments. Nomatter what skin type you are and nomatter what kind of light you are in, your skin will glow like never before. The color of the lotion is a light tan, and is completely smooth and creamy. When I applied it, it did not feel greasy on my skin or my hands, and it absorbed quickly into my skin. The fragrance was very pleasant, a "summery" type scent, and lasts quite a while. It is not overwhelming by any means.
I purchased this product at my local Wal-Mart for about 6.00. The bottle holds 6.9 Fl. Oz. I have even seen off-brands that cost more than this!
~What It Did For Me~
Being the skeptic that I am, I immediately tested this lotion. I put some on one arm, and went outside to compare. My gosh- I had never seen such a difference that a lotion can make! My skin glowed, was smooth, and when looked at up-close had very small golden crystals that were shimmering (mica). I felt like I had sprinkled diamonds on me. I put the lotion on in the morning, and it truly lasted all day. It didn't rub off on clothing, and even though mica in the lotion makes you shimmer, it is so fine that the lotion doesn't feel grainy, and you don't feel grainy, you don't feel the mica at all. All you feel is true moisture and shine. Even after I took a shower, I could still see the effects of the lotion. My skin looked more healthy than it had in a long time. From now on, it's only Nivea for me!

~Overall Recommendation~
Nivea Silky Shimmer Lotion is the most successful product I have ever used to moisturize my skin, and make it look the best it can. After trying so many other lotions, this one is by far the best. Because it is not greasy and not overly fragrant, I stand by Nivea Silky Shimmer Lotion 100%, and will continue to use it as long as it is around.
