Pros: It works! No funny tars or smells. No residue after using it.
Cons: Expensive for a bottle, but lasts a long time. Works out to be cheaper.
The Bottom Line: Went to the "best" doctors, used prescription meds to try to control dandruff and nothing worked. I try Nizoral and 3 days later my dandruff is gone. Amazing!

| tjfiles2001's Full Review: Nizoral Anti Dandruff Shampoo |
This is a really easy to review because the product works so incredibly well, or at least it does for me. I have suffered with chronic dandruff for most of my 27 years. I even had "cradle cap" as an infant! I had some strange symptoms, almost no itching, rarely much redness and very sporadic. But when it came, it really came.
I have seen 5 or 6 dermatologists. The last one I stopped at was a Harvard Grad practicing in NY with probably 15 years of experience. I was told my a coworker that he was the best. He shall remain nameless. He had never seen flare ups quite as bad as mine, big flakey and almost all over the entire scalp and sometimes my eyebrows. He prescribed 3 different meds with strange side effects and plenty of warnings in the form of spray, medicated shampoo, and also a bottle type thing that I would squeeze on the scalp in very bad areas. These things actually made my scalp itch! No pain no gain, right? After several months of using these products religiously, I returned to him because there was absolutely no change, nothing. He prescribed more crap and also told me to avoid spicy foods (I never eat them anyway) and to get sun (I am an avid runner, and pound the pavement most sunny days). So it was a waste of time, money, and effort. This was almost a year ago and have decided to simply live with it.
About three months ago, I suddenly developed some scaling around my eyebrows and nose. Never had that before, but have been diagnosed with mild psoriasis. So once in a blue moon I get a little scaling on my elbows or knees, but it's rare. This was the last draw, I used to be able to hide the dandruff when I went out (never wear black, shower right before going out, comb through my hair and pick out any flakes) but the flaking on my face was not doing much for my self esteem. So I decide to search the internet and end up on epinions and read the review on here. Probably just like you are doing right now. I saw a reviewer used it on their face, and figured what the heck and give it a try. I went out and bought a bottle...
I used it for three days, every day, once a day. No major change, maybe very slight. On the fourth day I woke up and had ZERO dandruff. WHAT? Could this be possible? I have went to so many doctors, bought every shampoo that mentions the word dandruff, and even tried changing my diet and nothing works. Then I used this little bottle for a couple of days and it's all gone. Well folks, it's been several months and I am dandruff free! Then I figured that I would have to buy a $10 bottle of shampoo every week, not so at all! It's very strong! I used it maybe once every 2 or 3 weeks now, if I have a little sign of dandruff. I still have not finished the smallest bottle they sell and have been using it for 3 months. Honestly, it's the cheapest dandruff shampoo I have ever used.
It certainly helps control it on my face, not as perfect as my scalp, but it dramatically reduces the scaling. I am a little concerned about using on my face, as it does not say on the bottle much about that.
Nizoral, if you are reading this, please consider developing or testing a version for the face.
It's interesting how every product on the market have big letters claiming it will get your shirts whiter, teeth brighter, and loose 50 pounds. But Nizoral hardly says much of anything on the bottle!
