| joi123's Full Review: Nizoral Anti Dandruff Shampoo |
Being a teenager, I can be vain, but when it comes to something like dandruff that's a different story. I started to get dandruff around the age of 12, right on the onset of puberty. For four years I tried different products. I went from Head & Shoulders, Selsun Blue, T-gel, vinegar, and Garnier Fructis. None of them worked and it was even more embarrassing coming to class and hearing someone next to me say, "It's smells like urine in here."
Then I developed the habit of reading labels. I started to take notice of the active ingredients like pyrithione zinc, coal tar, and selenium sulfide (I never used salycylic acid.) By the age of 15 I was desperate for a cure. Now my dandruff got worse and I would sit in class feeling the constant need to itch my head, but I knew if I did I would have snow flakes on my shoulders. Sadly enough, my hair is black and my favorite color is black. I had a constant fight with myself to itch or not to itch. Finally one day, I did some intensive research on dandruff shampoos. I found Nizoral and found it had a different patented active ingredient. I had to get it and the expensive price only drew me in. A couple days later I headed to the store and bought a 4 OZ bottle of 1% for $10.
When I used it for the first time I felt relieved. The next day after I washed my hair with it I didn't itch at all. (This is the ultimate test for me.) It was a miracle!
