| Birdfeather's Full Review: Nizoral Anti Dandruff Shampoo |
One of my daughters had a bad case of itchy scalp and dandruff. She was embarrassed being a teenager, of course. We tried several shampoos on the market that were supposed to take care of dandruff problems but the real winner was Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo.
Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo
Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo comes in a 7 fl. oz. bottle. The bottle is packaged in a blue and white box, as is the bottle appearance. The price is on the steep side at $14.99 per bottle. And this is not a large bottle!
Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo contains the leading medication in most prescription shampoos for dandruff, Ketoconazole. It is designed to control flaking, itching and dried scalp conditions associated with dandruff.
Directions
Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo should be used by adults only. It is to be applied like any normal shampoo. Wet your hair, apply shampoo, lather, rinse. Repeat. It is advised to use the product every 3 to 4 days for up to 8 weeks to control the dandruff problem.
Our Experience With Nizoral
Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo was not my daughter's first choice in products. She chose Head & Shoulders because that was the product she had heard about. Needless to say the Head & Shoulders did not take care of her problem. She would end up with dandruff again and also itchy scalp. The product would actually mask the problem for a day or two and then be back in full swing. That is when I stumbled across a sample of Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo. She tried it and told me it was good. I was surprised to not hear any complaints 2 days and then 3 days later. She had used the sample twice and seemed to be very happy with the results. However, I knew it was too early to tell if this was the final solution to her itchy scalp and dandruff flakes.
My daughter loved the sample so much, I ended up purchasing a full size bottle. She used this twice a week until her problem was no longer noticeable. She now uses it once a week or once every other week to keep the problem in check. She has not had any more worrisome flakes, thanks to Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo.
I was very surprised to open the full size bottle to find that it had a pleasant scent. I was expecting something harsh and along the chemical line since this shampoo contains a medication.
I think this product is well worth the extra cost. Itchy scalp can be very annoying and dandruff flakes embarrassing to anyone. It works very fast to get to the root of the problem. Using sparingly after initial attack seems to keep the problem under control and from coming back.
