Pros: Effective at eliminating itch, flakes. Great scent. Pleasant, tingly feeling.
Cons: Overuse can dry scalp. Hair becomes brittle, frizzy. Loses effectiveness over time.
The Bottom Line: If you are frustrated with dandruff, and willing to forsake the quality and manageability of your hair to end the itch and flakes, try Nizoral.

| klaxonman's Full Review: Nizoral Anti Dandruff Shampoo |
If you've tried the usual suspects like Selson Blue, Head and Shoulders, etc. without getting results, this product could be a godsend for you.
After battling dandruff and serious itch and irritation for almost a year, I did some research and came across Nizoral. Nizoral has a unique acting ingredient in it which you will not find in any other anti-dandruff shampoo; Ketocanzole. This ingredient is the first, and has been the only solution to my incessant scalp problems.
While it is great at combating the problems of flakes and itch, Nizoral does have several drawbacks you should be aware of. First, for those of you who obsess over your luscious locks, Nizoral can make your hair look rather dry and damaged. After a few days it will return to normal, but the day of and the day after your application, your hair won't look so hot. Secondly, because of its efficacy, you may get the temptation to overuse Nizoral. Be wary not to use it at the first sign of itch or flakes. In my experience, using it more than once or twice a week has resulted in even more flakes than I started with given the dryness of my scalp. Perhaps the winter season is to blame as well. Finally, be aware that over time Nizoral won't quite deliver that knock out punch that you felt the first time you used it. In my experience, I feel like my condition became adjusted to the treatment. Nizoral no longer cures 100% of my symptoms.
In conclusion, I urge you to try Nizoral if you want a powerful ally in the struggle against dandruff. Just be aware of some of the drawbacks before you use it.
