Fantastic Hotel at Great Price (24 in our group)

Pros: Clean, beautuful, well located, very low priced, unique, GREAT beds!
Cons: Smaller Victorian rooms, busy but friendly staff, voice mail is hard to work.
The Bottom Line: Business, Romantic weekend, or just to be spoiled, this is a great deal with a great SF feel.

I brought a group of 24 friends to San Francisco late last Fall, and our ten day stay at the Nob Hill was exceptional!
The rooms are individually decorated with Victorian
antiques (and reproductions) and are spotlessly CLEAN.
Everyone agreed these were the best hotel beds we'd EVER slept in, firm mattress and buttery sheets! Some of the single rooms are small, but the suites are lovely, the bathrooms are remodeled and very clean with great vanilla soap and extras!
The staff, while busy were helpful and friendly, and the manager made sure every day of our stay was perfect. They include a nice continental breakfast each morning and a wine tasting every afternoon, a free gym pass is part of the room price, and some parking is available for a bit extra.
The location and neighborhood are safe and convenient, and the prices cannot be beat in our expensive city. I now send all my vistor's to the Nob Hill, and have not had one problem (they own the Fitzgerald now but I understand the rooms are not as special or unique).
The Italian restaurant if very good, if a bit high, and right in the hotel, I'd reccomend the Nob Hill to anyone who wants a romantic stay where they feel back in the days of old San Francisco!
I travel a lot, and have stayed in very few boutique hotels as nice for even three times the cost.
