Pros:The bed was decent.
Cons:parking, neighborhood, customer service, staff, noisy
The Bottom Line: If you want to stay in San Francisco, I suggest you do not stay at the Nob Hill Hotel. You will be severely disappointed.
We decided to spend the weekend in San Francisco last summer. I did some research and found the Nob Hill Hotels website and it looked so beautiful and sounded great so we went ahead and booked for a weekend. When we got there to check in, the lady was SO completely rude and unfriendly I could not believe it. I have NEVER been treated so badly at a Hotel in my entire life. We happened to find parking right in front of the hotel, which we were told by the lady that checked us in, it would be best for us to stay parked there or pay 20 dollars a day for hotel parking. We would have been more than happy to pay for the hotel parking had we been told by the hotel staff that it was unsafe to park on the street, in front of the hotel. So, we checked in, stayed parked in the front of the hotel and went up to see our room.....my first thought was, it didn't look anything like the pictures on their website. The rooms were so full of furniture and chairs it was hard to maneuver around the room without running into things and it was so stuffy and hot in there you could barely breath. The next morning I went to put money in the parking meter and found that someone had smashed our car window and broke into our car, right in front of the front door of the hotel. I was so upset, I went inside and explained to the man at the desk what had happened, he just looked at me and said nothing. He didn't offer an apology, he didn't offer to call my insurance company or even offer to get me a broom so I could clean the glass off of the sidewalk. We ended up checking out early so we could get our window fixed and of course the hotel manager was not there, so when we got back home I called and had to leave a message for him. Which by the way I have left 4 messages and am still waiting for a call back 7 months later. We were at the hotel for a total of 11 hours and it cost me $250.00 to get my window replaced and $140.00 for that one night stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, it was a complete and total nightmare all the way around.
