Incredibly Rude Management

Pros: the cleaning staff were friendly
Cons: The management, the location, the hidden fees and surcharges, no services and tiny rooms
The Bottom Line: This place needs a radical overhaul of its management before it could ever change. But one thing that it can never change is its close proximity to the Tenderloin.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly rude and ill mannered. They accused us of smoking in our room and fined us $500 on our credit card. When we disputed the charge with our credit card company, they informed us that they have had to deal with many similar complaints about this hotel. Secondly, its a complete misnomer calling this the "Nob Hill Hotel"....its two blocks from the worst neighborhood in San Fran...the dreaded "Tenderloin" BEWARE!!
Thirdly, the rooms at this hotel were so small that you were constantly banging your elbows, knees and ankles on something or another. The bed itself was pushed right up against the wall and it was terribly uncomfortable to squeeze by all the time. Furthermore, due to its position you had to climb out over your partner to get off it.
Fourthly, this hotel has been widely advertised by the owners as being close to everything, particularly Union Square. Its not close to anything! Its a full 8 blocks from Union Square and even further to the Financial District. The only thing that is close...REAL CLOSE...is the TENDERLOIN.
We will definitely not stay here again, there are so many other great hotels in San Fran that there is no point even considering this one
