I say that this phone is worth it's weight in silver because, but it's no longer new technology. This is an excellent phone for urban areas. Other than it's size and weight I have nothing bad to say about it. And I put my phone through alot of abuse. I dropped it, kicked it, stepped on it, threw it more than 20 total times in a 12 months and it kept working great. Compared to the new phones available the range was not the best in the mountains or out of the city, but all the phones from 1997 that I have seen and used had the same problem. Hence my feelings about it. I had the extended Lithium Ion battery which was big, but gave me 2-3 days of standby time overall. Ontop of it's performance the phone acted as my address book, and communication to the world since I am on the road alot. This phone was the first phone out for Analog/Digital and the clarity is excellent.
For a starter phone or someone looking to save money when getting a cellular phone I highly reccomend it.
