When I first signed up for cellular phone service. I had a Motorola flip phone. I was a college student commuting 30 minutes to and from school and wanted a phone in case I would have car trouble or so my husband could call me if he needed me to pick something up while I was in town. The phone worked okay for what I needed it for. My husband is a self-employed farmer and owns his own construction company. Since he worked miles away from home, he thought a phone would be helpful if he had a break down, needed fuel, etc. He took my phone and I got a new NEC phone and got away from the flip style.
My husband started having trouble receiving calls and making calls on his flip phone. It seemed like the range of the phone wasn't very large. You practically had to be sitting on top of a hill to use it. Another downfall was the fact that the batteries wouldn't last long enough. Once the contract was up on the phone, he exchanged it for a Nokia 252. He loved it immediately. He found it a lot easier to use. Most of all he liked the phone book storage space. He could store the numbers of parts supply stores in case he needed to order something.
I started having trouble charging the battery on the NEC phone. When I talked to my service provider, they said the battery couldn't be fixed. They told me I could exchange my phone for a different style. I chose a Nokia like my husband's. I also like the convenience of it and never have trouble calling out or receiving calls. I would recommend this type of phone to anyone looking for a convenient phone.
