| TPloszaj's Full Review: Nokia 282 Cell Phone |
I have recently upgrade to the Nokia 282. It is a good analog phone, excellent if you are looking to upgrade from some of the older models. I chose this phone because it is small and lightweight. It is probably the most stylish and best equipped in the small pocket phone category. It comes in a number of colors other than black (red, silver, and green I think) which is also a nice option. The bonuses of this phone are that it has 24 hrs of standby time, standard vibrating battery, it is very small, and the battery can be fully charged from dead to full in 2 hours. If your service area provides it, it has all the other perks such as caller id and voice mail notification.
It does have a few problems however. First is that the battery life is not great for the average cell phone. For its size it is ok but the Startac offers a battery with 36 hrs. standby. Also, the phone only supports analog. Many of the best phone now offer dual mode and the 282 would be greatly served by offering this as well.
Overall, if you have an old cell phone, may places will let you upgrade to the 282 for free or keep cheaply, then do so. If you are looking for a good analog phone, get it. But if you want digital or all the new features in your area, go for a digital phone and forget the sleek looking 282.
