| MsArriana's Full Review: Nokia 5120 Cell Phone |
I had been without cellular service for many years and swore I would never return to it. I was one of those millions of people who would always swear I was only going to use the phone in emergency situations. Yeah right. After receiving my last bill for a couple hundred dollars with my last provider, I disconnected and swore I was done with cellular. Then a new plan came out here in Knoxville called Cricket where you pay a flat rate of $29.95 a month and get unlimited local calls. So I decided to break down and rejoin the land of cellular users.
The phone that came with my service was the Nokia and so far I am loving it! I was very doubtful at first that I would get quality service from my Nokia but boy was I wrong.
Reception with the Nokia is fantastic. I NEVER experience static or loss of reception. Talking on my Nokia is just like talking on my home phone. I have driven around town and up in the mountains and have never lost a call due to a loss of signal.
In terms of durability, this phone again qualifies as superb. I have dropped my phone several times and been fearful that it wouldn't work again but it has always come through like a trooper. It is definitely the Timex of cellular phones.
The design is small and compact which I like. I don't have a big old bulky phone to lug around. It fits conveniently in to a small purse or even in to my pants pocket if I am not carrying a purse.
The features on my phone may vary from other companies who carry this model. On my phone the features are very basic and easy to navigate. I have a phone book for storing numbers, a call log feature that keeps track of the last 10 calls I have made as well as the last 10 calls I have received. It has Keyguard so that I don't mistakenly call someone when I am carrying the phone in my purse or pocket. The phone comes with approximately 30 different tones that I can select. There are some really cute tones and some really annoying tones. It also comes with a clock and alarm clock. There are two games loaded on my phone which I have not played so I can't remark about those. I also have voice mail as well as caller id.
I get a pretty good amount of time off of the battery. I charge it at night when I go to sleep and the charge lasts all day. I also talk on it quite often. I am sure that it would last much longer for someone who doesn't use it as much as I do.
All in all I would recommend this phone to anyone who is looking for a durable, high quality phone at a reasonable price.
