I bought an Ameritech cell phone back in November and then the switch occurred in March...I recieved the Nokia 5120 in place of the other phone.
All you heard was, "This phone is so much better, better service, more options...blah blah blah." I have had nothing but problems with my phone. On top of being the most confusing phone you've ever owned, the list of problems goes on and on. Not only does the reception suck around my house (which is supposed to be a local number) but I have taken it in 2 times now for repair. Both of which were defects in the phone, it's not like I dropped it in water or anything.
And to make things worse, the customer service at Ameritech really needs improving. Noone ever seems to know what they are talking about and I get a different story or explanation every time I call. In person is not any better either, they are rude and take their sweet old time helping you...they do nothing to make sure that the customer is satisfied, like I was brought up believing in. And it will cost me almost $90 to upgrade to the next phone.
If I hadn't signed a 2 year lease with them, this phone would have been gone a long time ago.
