And this is the cheap phone! I looked at all of the phones and services available in our area... and really couldn't find what I wanted, because the full digital services are not available here yet. (We are about an hour away from Silicon Valley, CA). So I bought the 5120 to get me by, because it switches between the digital and analog signals. However, what I was not told was that it would drop my call every time I transferred between the two. I also got the plan with no toll/no long distance, planning to offset the cost of the phone service by using the phone for my toll calls from home. However, sitting still in my living room, my calls get dropped constantly. Also, the representative told me all about the great battery life, but that is only when it is on digital service. On analog service, the battery last only a fraction of the time it does on digital. Another problem is that the phone actually GETS HOT when you are talking on an analog signal. A rep from another company told me that, and I asked the person I bought it from, and was told that was not true, but it IS!
