Well, I finally got around to buying a cell phone for driving and
emergencies. I was looking for a good quality, low price phone, and this is the one that I chose. I have yet to be disappointed with this phone majorly, it has a GREAT battery life and great features:
---Games *a personal favorite*, like Snake, Memory, and Logic.
---Phonebook *to store many names and numbers for quick and easy access in
any bind*
---Missed Call and Voicemail feature *depending on your calling plan*
---Alarm Clock
---And many, many more...
One thing is you must buy a special battery if you want to set your phone in the vibrate option when it rings, say if you're in a movie or meeting and don't want a loud ringing to go off. Also, if you want a longer battery life, you should consider getting a different battery than supplied.
A short story: One day, I was driving in my car, and my car broke down, how convenient! So, I reached for my phone, called my car service, and was saved. What would I have done without it? It has saved me so many times, I've practically adopted it into my family.
You've all probably seen those commercials for the family talk systems, and this Nokia phone is the perfect one for families. You can choose your
minutes per month, voicemail for leaving messages, and a long distance plan all for a certain fee each month, and connect a phone for each member in your family. This is a good way of giving your children or family members a new responsibility, and it is VERY convenient for those last minute, by-the-way calls for picking up forgotten items at the grocery store for example.
One downfall to this phone, I'm assuming it also depends on the service you choose to activate your phone with, is that the clarity of calls and messages depends on where you are at the moment. I've had certain instances where I leave a message to my friend and she/he cannot understand it because I was in a low-service area and the message was all choppy. At other times, when I have high service, the phone will give and receive with perfect clarity.
Overall, I love this phone, and I recommend it to families, teens, and people that are always on the move and need a low cost, high performance phone.
