| lanmanpat's Full Review: Nokia 6162 Cell Phone |
I just replaced my old Motorola StarTac with a new Nokia 6162. So far I love it! It seems to have clearer reception than the StarTac. But, the feature I like most is the battery life. I have the extended life battery and I now only charge it once a week. The battery meter has never fallen below 3 out of 4 ticks!
Of course, the 6100 series is also know for its other features such as memory storage. I have to admit... being able to store 199 phone numbers is very nice. Although it took me a little time, it has proved worthwhile to store our all of our companies important numbers. Another feature I really like is the functionality of the menu system. It is really intuitive and all menus can be reached with a quick number shortcut. Programming numbers in on the Nokia was the easiest of any cell phone I have used.
Another favorite of mine is the profiles settings. With profiles, you can quickly switch between preset settings for ring volume, type, etc. this is great for when you go into a meeting, movie, etc.
The Nokia 6162's size is just right in my opinion. It isn't big, but it isn't so small that it is awkward to use. The flip cover is a matter of personal preference. I like it because it prevents my 13 month old son from inadvertently making phone calls. It also helps it feel like a real phone when you are talking on it.
Overall, I'd have to highly recommend the phone. I haven't found anything I dislike about it so far.
